SomoGear IR Illuminator Pulse Rate Programming Guide

In addition to the standard Momentary and Continuous modes, the IR illuminator can be programmed to operate in Pulse Mode at 1, 2, 4, or 8 pulses per second.
To enter programming mode, the Mode Selector must be turned to the desired pulse-rate setting within 5 seconds after pressing the FIRE button.

Programming Instructions

1. Turn the Mode Selector to the P (Program) position
2. Press and hold the FIRE button until the orange indicator light illuminates.
3. While continuing to hold the FIRE button, rotate the Mode Selector to the IR setting corresponding to the desired pulse rate shown in the table below.

Note: The safety screw must be removed before pulse-rate programming can be performed.

4. Release the FIRE button. The orange indicator light will flash twice to confirm the setting. The selected pulse rate will remain stored until it is changed or reset.

How to Disable Pulse Mode?

To return the illuminator to a continuous beam:

• Set the pulse rate to 0 pulses per second (IR – AL).
